Netraceutici Sifra

We design and develop highly innovative medical devices and supplements, providing the medical class with new multi factorial approaches and innovative products to improve the quality of life for patients with bone and joint diseases.

Specifically in the bone and joint area, we provide infiltrating, oral, and topical treatments, outstanding raw materials, and high technological standards.

Joints and tendons

The joints are elements which maintain the connection between two bone ends and allow movement. Consequently, the must be in perfect health in order to enjoy optimum functionality at all ages.

Bone surfaces are covered in cartilage, a connecting specialised support tissue required to make joint movements fluid, which work as a shock absorbing bearing to allow limb mobility.

The tendons are a combination of fibres that connect the muscles and bones and which allow the contractile apparatus to carry out its functions.

They are made up of collagen (a resistant substance) and elastin (a more elastic substance).

Trauma, intense physical activity, overweight, ageing, and improper lifestyles can cause alterations in the load of one or more structures with consequent deterioration and pain, stiffness, and limitation in movements.

Joint and muscle diseases

Some joint and muscle diseases involve the joints and tendons and respectively take the names of arthrosis and tendinitis.

1. Arthrosis

Arthrosis is a chronic degenerative disease that manifests primarily on the level of the knee, hand, shoulder, and hip joints.

For flexible and healthy joints, it can be useful to supplement with condrite-protective active substances such as glucosamine, chondroitin sulphate, and Methylsulfonylmethane, as well as hyaluronic acid and collagen which are structural components of cartilage.

In the case of joint pain, some of the best known remedies are Devil’s Claw, Boswellia, and Turmeric.

2. Tendinitis

When the tendons are subjected to incorrect movements, they risk inflammation and, in the worst cases, breakage.

The elasticity of the tendons is due to personal predisposition, age, and whether or not sport activities are performed correctly.

To help maintain and repair tissues, amino acids can help such as arginine and ornithine alpha-ketoglutarate which contribute to the formation of collagen.
