Supplements for urogenital organs
The urogenital organs
The prostate, also called the prostate gland, is a gland of the male genital organ which carries out the primary function of producing and storing sperm fluid which it releases during ejaculation.
The prostate is located under the bladder and is wrapped around the first part of the urethra, the channel which serves to transport urine out of the body, therefore it is fundamental for the prostate to be in good health in order for the entire urogenital apparatus to function correctly.
Ailments that may involve these organs are prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate) and cystitis (inflammation of the bladder mucosa).
Plants such as the Saw Palmetto and the Nettle improve prostate and urinary tract functionality.
In order to remedy the problem of cystitis, a diet rich in fibre must be followed and adequate hydration and hygiene must be maintained. There are also Cranberry-based supplements which aid in relieving inflammation.
